You can get the Genesis G70 with a MT.

https://www.genesis.com/us/en/2019/genesis-g70.html

Seems pretty comparable to the Guilia. I agree with others, I would never buy a Alfa but maybe lease one.

EDIT: FWIW the MT is my GTI is the easiest and most pleasant MT I have ever owned

I sat in one of those at the San Fran auto show on Nov. I was really impressed. Both the outside and the inside are nice to look at and a good place to be. I wonder how they drive.

reviews of the g70 with the big engine say its fun in a tailhappy kind of way. Don't know if the big engine can be had with the manual, but it would be worth checking out. Ditto on the GTi (and Golf R).

I was going to mention the G70 also, but arrived late to this thread.

Wondered if you still had the A5 or not

Nick, I haven't driven the B9, David loves his but TBH I'm bored with Audi, plain and simple.

Has there been a review of the Giulia yet that didn't require at least one replacement car? I haven't seen one, but I'll admit that I stopped paying attention.

No, MT is only available with the 2.0T. The Giulia he is considering is 2.0T too though.

I sat in the Giulia also at the auto show. Honestly I thought the G70 had a better interior.

I don't think I could make that switch.

Love the looks of the Alfa. Even considered going to work at the Fiat/Alfa/Maserati store.
