WDC, here's what my 17/45's look like (pic taken a few years ago).

This is a good combo - narrow enough to slice through snow that's appropriately deep for this car, and wide and large enough to both look good and maintain decent handling.

They also ride well.

Yup. My summer comfort set up (when I didn't expect to drive through the worst of winter) was 225/45/17 on M3 fitment 68Ms. The M3 fitment holds the rear wheels a bit further out toward the fender.
