Car insurance prices are not the only reason to feel sorry for people in Detroit.

Its nice to know I get good deals sometime!

I guess living in Austin does have other benefits! By the way, my insurance for a new 04 330i Perf. Pkg. is right on the money with the survey. I pay ~$1080 w/ $500 ded. for collision, $200 ded. for comprehensive, married, 25 yrs old. I guess I am the benchmark for the test!

I actually pay 1400 for the same car. 300/100K coverage but although I just turned 25, I wont be married for another 5 months. Of course, I don't actually live in the city, I live a few miles outside Boston.

I'm not looking forward to the premium increase when I move into the city. I estimate that'll cost me about $800 a year.

Interesting - I paid less for the ///M when it was my daily driver than most of the prices in the cheapest city section in a suburb of San Diego. Living in so cal for about a year and a half now, I have come to realize that insurance will never be cheap here. Price depends on the insurance company, I think.

How do all those people manage to flip their cars, anyway? It seems like everyday, there is at least one roll over.

i don't mind paying high-ish insurance. everything else here costs a lot, so what's one more cost?

but i'd much rather pay high insurance because of population density, high fixed labor per hour costs, and traffic jam-related accidents than OUTRIGHT car theft as in detritus, atlanta, newark or livin' near east. st.louis.
