Yes and no. It’s really hit or miss. I saw some cars the last week go for crazy pants high prices.

In the comments it looks like BAT gave him $2k and waived fee, so he got $46500. He said he had that offer from a dealer for trade and had 44k from CarMax so I guess he did “ok”.

And, who knows how badly he needed out of the car?? Employment situations are changing quickly. Maybe he wanted to protect an very good credit rating, while scaling back
