I still can't get over how small the rotors look with that open wheel design

Yeah..whenever I consider a 911 I quickly get into an escalating game of "you might as well"...

My process goes something like this:
"Aircooled 911s are crazy expensive...what about water cooled? Oh, what about a 996 for 30k? Hmm- they kind of suck. What about a 997.1? Oh they kind of suck too. 997.2? Oh these are nearly unobtainium especially with a manual. What about 991.1s? Oh, here's one for 70k...but its got like 80k miles, is not CPO and has a PDK. Forget that. Ok, what about a CPO 991.2 manual ...damn now i'm pretty much at 100k+....might as well buy a new one". lol. And then you remember the existence of 4.0 Boxsters and Caymans...another rabbit hole.

My local dealer only sells at MSRP. Number seven dealer in the county. Base without anything on it is $116k, but by the time you put what it needs on it you are at $130-135k.

What 911s are you guys shopping?

I’ll start. I’m looking at 991 Speedsters.

This is my dilemna. I like mine a lot (except the GT Silver), but I'd really like to build a 992S to my exact spec. Realistically, I could get ~$100k for mine and a new one would be ~$150k, so I could contort my brain to believe the $50k upcharge for a 5+yr newer car with full warranty exactly as I'd want specc'ed is a good deal.

Exactly. Existing car for as long as I can keep it going.
