Auto show cup runnething over

Ah, press week at NAIAS--every year, this is the week where I get the least done.

Lots of interesting news, including the 8 speed automatic in the LS460 (but I'd still buy an A8, instead), the new Edge, the Enclave, which might finally be a competitive GM crossover, unlike the Aztek-based Rendezvous, a Hyundai concept that steals BMW's forthcoming X-coupe thunder, etc. etc.

From the looks of it, this is going to be one of the better shows of the past few years. Just TONS of new concepts that I really want to see. It kills me that I won't be there.

The Miura is nice enough, but I really am retro-ed out.

Lamborghini is really getting their money's worth out of that black-floor-with-dramatic-bright-lighting layout. I don't think it's changed in the five years in a row that I've seen the show.

As for the nouveau-Miura: bleh. I'm not quite retro-ed out, but this isn't good retro. It's just retro, and not at all in character with Lambo's place in the automotive world.

New Audi "Roadjet"; bigger than an A3, with a longitudinal 3.1L 300 hp V6.
