Truthfully I was expecting it to be significantly worse. It looks fairly aggressive/mean in this photo. As usual it is probably best we reserve judgment until we see it in person.
Edit: I read several comments stating it is very Jeep like. |

That’s not bad actually. The huge grills work on huge SUV’s. I was worried about the squinty headlights, but at this angle they look ok.
I am not the demographic for this vehicle class so take that for what it is.

Those are just the DRLs. The headlights are hidden behind tinted plastic lower in the bumper cover. See pic.

Sad to report that you probably will not want to pay the price they will be going for by then. They have been steadily climbing for the past two years. I have attempted to purchase 3 or 4 and they always sell for far more than I am willing to give. They have the same M62 that my E39 has and if all the known issues have not been addressed they are expensive! I went ahead and literally did everything at 59,XXX. I felt it was best to do it ever before it happening because once it does it tends to be a giant shit show. People seem to forget the one cannot use the logic of mileage on a 20+ year old car. Plastics and seals have heat cycled for that same amount of time so they are far likely to fail regardless of mileage. TCG failure is typically believed to occur at or around 125-150k miles on a M62 and once those tiny pieces of plastic end up being distributed throughout the engine there is no retrieving them. As usual, plan on replacing the entire cooling every 30-40k miles. The M62 runs extremely hot at 230f and allegedly it is for emissions. Last edited by SCA; 03-24-2022 at 10:21 AM. |

That's about what I expected. Could be worse. My lease is up in October 2023 and we'll probably get another one. I'm very curious about the engine choices though. Apparently there will be a new TT V8 and all powertrains will get a 48V mild hybrid system.
