Ha for sure. Also odd that they'd let a car on their showroom floor be that dirty. Seems like most dealers have a detail guy that comes through and cleans the showroom cars atleast once per day.

OK, so my wife finally gets an email from the local dealer.

After mentioning that the discount on the car is (only) $1600 from MSRP, he writes: "The total for the vehicle would be 35,388.69. If you put $5,000 down and finance the rest, your monthly payments at 60 months would be $519. And that is with .9 interest rate. "

WTF?!!! Again, what the hell is so hard about finance 30k, tell me the remainder with your best offer.

Meanwhile, at another dealerhsip...

My wife reaches out to the dealer with the car in stock, gets an email immediately, she replies, and within 2 hours gets this:

"Yes the Golf is brand new and would be delivered to you in brand new condition. The MSRP on the vehicle is $34,319 and I can offer you a selling price of $29,500 with the special financing. I can do everything remote with you and deliver the vehicle when you are ready. Let me know your thoughts and if you are ready to more forward."

$5k off. Almost too good to be true. If those numbers are remotely accurate, I don't see why we don't buy it this weekend.

Second one sounds promising.

And the overall is very familiar.

Agreed. My wife is working on finalizing it. With such a good deal, I think we'll just take delivery now versus it being stored who knows where.
