I really can't believe that the general public was willing to accept this trend and I hope it reverses. A doughnut would be fine.

I totally understand. And I wouldn't do it either. I only drive the wagon around town.

I couldn't agree more ... no spare is ridiculous at least make it a dealer installed item ... at this time my only car without one is the R8 and it does concern me though I really don't want to spend $1565 to get one.

I had a really bad flat in the Porsche before I had a spare which I posted about here ...

It seems that my hatred of the Golf's looks and short cargo area is keeping me from vehicular bliss.

But too bad. Not happening.

BTW the xdrive on Michelin X-ice Xi3's is awesome. It scooted right up my driveway. It's just a dusting, but the wheels didn't even slip.

It's a strange feeling not being sideways with one wheel spinning.

Go get the M2. Put a hitch rack on it. Leave snows on the wagon; drive it only in winter. Problems solved.

No doubt I was very lucky I happen to be so close to a relatives house though I will say when a tire goes from 44psi to 0 psi in a matter of minutes I consider it a bad flat ... actually any flat is a bad flat
