Porsches already seem like such flashy cars, my instinct (except for Lava Orange) is to try to tame them down a little...but not TOO much.

Gentian blue in the IRL pics is really nice. I still like Cobalt better, but it's got a lot more to it than you see on the configurator.

In retrospect, it's almost certainly the color on this 992:

I agree on all counts.

I think it looks great in a 911. On a Boxster with more slats and a black top I'd like to see more contrast, so the lighter cobalt works better, IMO.

Gentian reminds me of Tanzanite blue available on the M3. It was a beautiful color, and nice under the sun but dark in the shade. Very elegant. There is a ZCP near me in that color and every time I see it I wonder. But if I had to pick one, I'd go with Sakhir again. Works better in a car with black accents. Also, that blue was $2k.
