Been driving out MK7.5 GTI recently and it is sure a nice car for the money. Interior is nice, sporty and quiet. Just been happy with purchase and no issues so far with a VW, 44k miles and almost 4 years(knock on wood).

I said this before but a good friend also has a 7.5 non screen old school gauge version but nav and leather. I love driving his car. Manual super peppy and the interior is great. Love the seats. It’s a very neat car.

If the preowned market wasn’t so crazy, I would get one.

But the new ones are hard to come by and the CPO market is insane. Otherwise I’d happily join the crowd here. Not a lot of manuals that are fun in the non-fancy car segment. The choices whittle down to the MX5, the MINI or one of the Toyobaru’s.

I had wanted to get a GTI so I’m a little jealous.

I think of what I drive everyday as my attainable version of a GTI.

Manual. Small engine. Turbo. Practical. 2 doors.
