It's a looker for sure. I do really like those wheels and I like the Audis with the blacked out trim. That huge corporate nose is ugly but you don't see it on your car when it's all black. The color is amazing too! Good luck with it.

Thanks! Washed it today . . . and determined that washing cars in Vegas is challenging and that I need to install an after water softener hose bib. It took as more time to speed shine the water spots off than it did to wash the car (which I did quickly to avoid water spots).
And then, when it was all clean to my standards, by the time I got the windows clean, it was covered in a layer of dust and pollen (wind was up today). ARGHH! |

I have mine permanently plumbed in, with hose reels for "tap water" and "de-ionized water". The only important thing is to drain the de-ionizer canisters before the first freeze of the winter, or the system will be ruined. Last edited by Terri Kennedy; 05-20-2014 at 05:58 PM. |

HAHAHAHA! It doesn't freeze here! Well, ok, it did for a week or so last winter, but the garage was never below 45 or 50. But if that is the only problem, I will be in good shape.

Changed the brakes and bled the system this weekend. Going for the redneck look with the wood blocks. It turns out my friend has one of my four jack stands (why only one? I can't remember). So I used the wood blocks on one side. It actually felt sort of safer than trying to pivot the Miata on the jack stands. For those that don't know, Miatas can easily be lifted on to jack stands by setting your jack at the mid-point under the rocker panel pinch seam and lifting one entire side of the car up at once. Slip some jack stands under, then repeat on the other side. .

Seems like a lot of wasted effort to roll the wheels so far away from the car.
OTOH, your laser beam headlights are fucking awesome!
