Ok guys, last call, time is confirmed. . .

Saturday the 26th @ 9am
McDonalds in Monroe

Google map link to Monroe McDonalds

I'll be in the yellow Jeep, there will be this guy in a big black Jeep and possibly a total of 5 rigs. One of the possiblies is the guy who rebuilt my transmission. He runs his old FJ40 LandCruiser. . . he should be entertaining if he's there. . . generally fearless with a big 454 V8 and a heavy right foot.

PM me and I can give you guys my cell number.

Kevin, any word if you can make it? If it comes down to a last minute thing give me a call Friday night and I can toss the back seat in the Jeep in about 3 minutes.

Otherwise, Lance, I'll see you at McDonalds!

I'm still not totally sure - but it is looking less likely I'll be able to go.

Talking Update

Big thanks to Jay. I had a great time. The Jeep club had me laughing my ass off all day. I highly recommend the trip to the other Seattle guys. The limits of these Jeeps are pushed all day long. I was surprised more than a few times at what we were able to do in these rigs. Areas that would be very difficult to walk, the Jeeps just plowed and bounced over.

The trail head parking lot:

Zoe is ready to go. This dog never made a peep in complaint. She doesnt like other dogs though.

Crazy rock crawler:

Harold's stickers. He is not kidding.

First obstacle:

Newer long wheel base Jeep.

Jay hooking up the winch.

First time Jay got stuck. In his defense. There wasnt really much of a trail at this point.

Umm, I'll get out and watch here.

Wheel was above my head:

Hmm, get up there and hold that corner down:

In the background of this pic you will see a quad. Some drunk ass decided he was going to show us how it was done. I had to pull his quad off of him.

Steep!!!!

Dove tail Toyota. This thing was awesome.

Thanks for coming out Lance! I had a lot of fun showing you what the Jeeps and other offroad buggies could do. Now I need to fix my Jeep and weld some reinforcing on all the axles. OOf, I don't think I've scraped over as many rocks in the last 8 years as I did in those 10 hours on the trail. Caved in my oil-pan, too. But he oil pressure is all normals so I guess it's ok.

I'll need to post the photos from my camera soon!

George (in the long-wheelbase Jeep) had a blast. I was concerned he was scared off with a few (small) dents to his rocker panels . . . and his shock that was torn off. But he said he had a blast and wants to head out again.
