Probably should have mentioned turbo 4, not 1LE.

The Edge Sport started about where the 1SS 1LE starts. The ST is going to be more.

It just boggles my mind how much car the turbo 4 is for the money (albeit low rent GM). And I can swap it for a 1LE in a year or two if I want to stick with the platform at a lower overall long term cost (I expect a lot more depreciation on the 1LE than the turbo 4). Plus, getting out of the turbo 4 early should be a pretty small hit compared to the 1LE if I quickly realize the Camaro isn't a good fit daily.

If I was buying with a five year commitment, I wouldn't consider the turbo 4. As a 1-2 year ultra low risk bridge to something else with a limited penalty early escape option? Yes, still rationalization.

A Camaro with a turbo 4 is like an airplane with holes drilled in the wings.

Are they seriously trying to make a sporty version of that thing?

Ford baffles me sometimes.

Woohoo! I'm sure you will find one and start enjoying being in a RWD car again! Are you looking for a particular color? They're great cars on paper, and you can double the cylinders in a year or two... sounds like a plan to me.

Once it thaws out more and I find the time to get my suspension on, we should have some nice battles against WRXs and the Type R this year.

Plus, she reserves the right to make fun of me and my douchey Camaro in front of or behind my back with friends, family and neighbors.

In other words, as long as I pay for it, she has no objection.

So great.

Dude, is it an airplane with holes in the wings or a condom with a hole? Make up your mind.

Yes as a 2019 model. The Edge ST will EB 2.7 V6 with 335hp/385tq which is only marginally higher than the Edge Sport they already sell. Not sure if doing ST versions of everything is much different than Chevy doing SS everythings a few years ago. Or BMW doing an /$/M version of everything. If it adds power and tightens up sloppy pedestrian vehcioes, is it a bad thing?

Dunno about color except not red. And probably not white. I love the blue, but they’re all blue and I’ve had a lot of blue cars.

Not bad for a turbo 4. Pretty quiet stock, but not as quiet as the FoST. The suitcase muffler box is 31 pounds, so it will go, but I’m not sure what will replace it.

Our friend that makes his living selling us this stuff didn’t know what to tell me to get today. Was hoping to give him credit card number, find some boxes at my house a little while later, and then find out what I spent when I got my next statement, but it’s not going to be that easy. I’m going to have to do some research, narrow things down, buy a few things and then develop over the season with him driving the car some.
