It's the headlights/grille/hoodline that really kill it for me. But if by '09 they throw in a 400hp V8, or better yet, offer a redesigned MZ4 (that looks better), I'm game.

What does the fact this will be coming with an S54 say about BMW's faith in the reliability of that engine now?

Have they really made all the engineering corrections necessary to keep them from going *boom* over the long haul?

The front remains grotesque. But the Z4s shape is a LOT better with a hardtop than a convertible.

this may not make a lot of sense, but i think it's ugly in an appealing way whereas the other cars are just ugly because they're supposed to be pretty.

i doubt you need a v8 in that thing, but if it was a light enough powerplant, then it'd be cool.
