Agreed - really nice place. It has the added benefit of being literally 1/4 of a block from my place.

I figured I'd let you decide whether or not you wanted to point that part out.

Equ, if you stay near me and are ok with parking outside, you are welcome to my parking spot. Very safe, etc.

Does the wedding party not have a block of rooms booked somewhere?

Thanks for the thoughts folks... Yes, the blocked rooms, ahem, ended last week, I may be able to beg my way into them. Originally didn't book as it seemed stuffy and pricey, now I'm seeing that the deal wasn't so bad.

Ninezero is coming back in the mid-500's (before tax and I presume parking). Hyatt is at 364 + tax & 42 parking, St. Botolph is booked etc. I'm reducing this trip from Fri & Sat night to just Saturday night. F*** this weekend!

The irony is that he is one of the cheapest guys that I know. Sends stuff back all the time, argues over single dollars. But this cheap guy's wedding will be costing me a pretty penny. Isn't it rather inconsiderate to hold this on Patriot's/Marathon weekend?

I'd say so. The whole city will be a total mess because of the marathon route and it'll be really crowded everywhere.

Thankfully, I'll be at Cask 'n Flagon at 8am in preparation for the 11am Sox game.

Maybe, maybe not.

It would be one thing if they selected this date because it winds up being the cheapest for them (cuz, you know, who would have a wedding in Boston then?) and they don't care about the extra expense and hassle their guests get stuck with.

It's something else if the date/location has some special significance to them and/or they selected them without having any idea of the other events...and by the time they learned of them, it was too late to really change it without fucking up a lot of other stuff.

sometimes after you put money down to hold a date it could be hard?

but the "planner" should have flagged this weekend as miserable for the couple.

if you think about how much they gate off the finish line, for floral delivery and caterers this is miserable.

The night of 4/17, I'm seeing 509 (queen, no view) up to 569 (king, view) base rates...
