vanity plates.....

Why can't we just go back to the black and white ones? Gov Dipshit needs to focus on real issues like what did he do with our school funding rather than stupid like fucking with the school calendar, changing our license plates to a graphic designer's nightmare or promising to build another bay bridge. I'm getting ready tired of having our very own Gov Palin.

My vanity plate is "shrp11", AKA, the lydian mode in music. Most famously recognizable as the second note in the opening of "Maria" from West Side Story (over the second syllable of the name Maria.)

This past weekend, my wife and I were parking at a local restaurant when a guy carrying his guitar in for the gig glanced at my plate and said ... "you'll get a lotta crap for playing those", I said, "I won't hear them, then?", he said "oh yeah, you'll hear plenty of sharp 11's, I guarantee it"

... then the group played polkas and bluegrass ... so I sort of tuned it out.

If Hendrix had lived to get a music theory themed plate, I'm guessing he would've used "7sharp9"

I saw a Jetta TDI yesterday with license plates "MY TDI"...

I wonder if they are still proud to own a TDI?

Someone in VA finally came up with an alternative to the Gadsden flag for personalized plates. I like it.

Why not? Great while we had it and it put $10k in our pocket (out of VW's that had already provided a good machine).

Clean diesel? There are NO diesel standards enforced in NJ. Any bus, truck, chicken-bus going into Lincoln Tunnel or ferry on the Hudson is like 1000 TDI's. It so happens VW could pay.
