Thanks. It should be fun. Cari has really been missing her old e36 m3c, so hopefully this will scratch that itch for her during the nice months. She was bummed we never bid on the red one that came across BAT a few months ago.

My parents wanted to sell it, but had no interest in dealing with selling it. I offered to do it for them, but even that wasn't appealing, so we figured, f-it and bought it at a price that if we decide in a year to re-sell it we won't lose any money. They were happy to do nothing and get a check, we were happy to have an extra car for the summer with minimal cost.

Like with the short term lease we did on the 335 GT last year, it puts us in a position to let both girls use a car for work / general (assuming they get full time summer jobs) without having to buy them something that they keep at school during the semester. It should be a win all around. As long as the sub frame doesn't fail or some other major catastrophe happen to it, its low risk.

As for the LSD, there's seems to be a bunch of questions about exactly on what cars and for how long the LSD was standard. There was a lot of discussion about it on BAT when that green 1997 went for sale. All I know is this one has it, and that's a good thing.

Love the Z3. So much fun to drive. Congrats!

I was in Grenada, Mississippi this weekend. I wasn't there for the tornadoes. Luckily, they missed us. But, not by much.

Car looks great! But I still think you should have left on the Stanley Cup decal. Tornado just missed us too, by a couple of miles. But did knock out our power for 14 hours

Yes. Insurance for SF is super high so it actually makes sense to do subscription vs traditional lease this time.

I had no idea that subscription service was a thing for cars. It's a good idea though, so I'm surprised car makers hadn't done it yet.
