Can't register an atom 'round here. Elises are awesome, but my wife hates them and rather have me get a Boxster (this happened before - and is how I got the 987S), and I feel they are overpriced and a bit too slow nowadays. I rather go new Miata for $30k vs 12-year old Elise.

It would probably be worth driving a new higher-line Miata again. But I can't really see buying one of those versus a depreciated Boxster, or even a pre-2007 Z4, or 1-series convertible |

The reviews of the 124 Spider have been pretty complimentary. Might be worth driving one of those.
But it's hard to imagine it'll be better than a Boxster. |

RE: Miata vs. Boxster:
I've mentioned it before: I really like the ND miata, but at 30K, a used Boxster is a much better proposition - particularly if you don't drive it much and can do some basic maintenance. If the ND Miata were $18-20k, I would probably think differently, but not now. |

For weekend track purists, the Boxster might be a better choice, but for everything else, Miatas are an awful lot of fun. It's whichever floats your boat. |

I meant to check both the daily driver and roadster boxes. Cheaper than an m3 +boxster
