Yeah - saw that one. I was liking the later years for the wide screen nav (if for no other reason than for how it looks - the nav still sucks).
That and the later years (or at least from the very end of 2000MY) have the engine improvements that are good to have. We'll see though. Yeah - the M5's (E39) do seem to pop up pretty regularly.

If anyone could stand the body style, the E60 M5s might be the bargain solution.

It's not just the exterior. The interior to me was a downturn as well. The F10 interior made quite a comeback for the M5.
The sounds that V10 makes though. Jezz

I assume you're keeping an eye on M5board's classified sites. That's the best place (that I'm aware of) to find good M5s at deals that are fair to the buyer and seller.;;
Here's a low miles LeMans one at $31k (surprised it is still for sale, wonder if there's a story) http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/car...46k-miles.html I personally have always really liked Blue Water and Silverstone (one replaced the other, they're similar in person). I hate the wheels and would want to see more pics before even considering: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/car...-metallic.html

Yeah - I put a bid in, knowing it would be superseded pretty quickly (and it was).
I was going to try again, but as good as the car is - it went past where I wanted to go (cost wise). I'm still looking... No hurry... (Maybe - the E38 is in the shop now - we'll see how that ends up. That story could put me in the 'now' mode on replacement vs the 'whenever' mode I think I am in now)

The 944 turbo's are really coming out of the woodwork on bat. The burgundy interior on this 86 does not seem to suffer from the bad fading most do.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...-944-turbo-32/ I truly love the styling of these cars more and more every year. Does anyone have any experience driving the turbo model?

Never driven one, I would be interested how the one with the monstrous NA 4 cylinder (3l?) drives too. Assuming the turbo is nice and laggy which I sort of like |
