I will say that I don't really get the desire for a wingless GT3. Like, why? And if you wanted a lower key GT3, but bought it in a loud color, I especially don't get it.
I think they look better without the wing. Also, wings are annoying, something I have learned very quickly since building the stupid RX-8 with its stupid wing that I accidentally stand up into roughly once a month.

I thought even the gt3 touring lacks back seats?

Indeed - no back seats. The 992 may get them but people seem to doubt it.

I am going to wait for things to settle down as far as Allocations which I am sure is due to Covid, I really do not want to pay MSRP for the car and right now I am really satisfied with my cars currently so there is no rush.
I was at the dealer today and spoke with a Salesman, there are no Allocations available for the 992, he said it might be months before a car can be ordered. He has one customer that has been waiting 8 months ... pretty crazy being back in November 2019 you could not only order one but also get 5% off MSRP.

wow -yeah that is crazy. I guess anyone who happened to have gotten an 992 back then could probably flip it now for roughly what they paid for it.

Very strange--seems like there's a real production bottleneck, as Panorama reports sales of all vehicle lines were down a few percent last year. Whether that's Porsche guessing wrong about the impact of the pandemic and trimming production too aggressively or being unable to secure key parts and electronics (or both) is an interesting question.

My money would more on the latter...that they couldn't build as many as they wanted/tried for multiple reasons.

The YOLO sales factor that's been affecting classic cars seems likely to apply to 911s as well.

And to what extent the ramp up for EVs has changed priorities.
