someone in one of those recent bimmerfest posts noted that Jon's kids are now the same age as most of us were when we started posting on roadfly/bfest

They've been in my family for many decades (I think since the '50s). They were shipped over from Hong Kong when I was a kid.

I got into a really bad accident last June and my e39 wagon was totaled (my first ambulance ride), and I just replaced it with a nice 2008 X5.

If it is ok with you guys I'd like to hang out here a bit.

Btw, I no longer have any association to Bimmerfest or BMW in any way. They suck.

Jon, great to see you here. The car looks really nice. Sorry to hear about the accident but glad everyone is ok!! I think I even remember you posting pics of the wagon way back in the day - was it that light green color they did on the E39?

Dang, so great to see that you all are still such a tight-knit community..

All of you touched my life in a very special way, thank you all very much for that..

Indeed my twins are now 28 if you can believe that! My daughter is a CPA at Price Waterhouse Coopers, and my son a pro studio photographer.

It was sad to lose my trusty old grey green e39 wagon, I'll try to post pics. Since 2013 my wife has driven a F30 335i, so that wagon had been relegated to dog beach transporter. It was hardly worth anything, but I was planing on keeping it forever. Last month I replaced it with a 2008 X5.

My daily driver is my beater, an 87 e30 325i. THE best $2,500. I ever spent!

It is my first e30, and the cool part, I was working as a salesperson at the dealer where it was first sold when it was sold (my buddy sold it). I've done a few handling mods, love the way it drives. I now get why people love them so..
