Maybe it is you!! In the second to last pic there is also an E39 M5. Is this guy related to you. Lol
I saw that too. While my 02 was similar (in general configuration) it was nowhere as nice as that one. Sane for the Coupe. Although- the E9 will get a decent amount of work done soon.
Will be interesting to see how the 02 finishes the auction.

That M3 looks really nice, those are the factory rims ? I could almost swear those are the same rims my mother had on her 1986 (or it might have been 1988) 325is

Yes, those are the original wheels. I'll defer to blee or nick on whether they are the same as the wheels used on other E30s; I don't think so, though, because wasn't the M3 five-lug?

can anyone who has driven a hopped up six cylinder E30 say how it compares to the e30m3?

I'm asking because if I had an e30m3, i would be gunshy about driving it. but if i could get close with an e30 with a souped up straight six, I might opt for that.

BMWs don't get much better looking than the E30.

No. Because M's (like many other sports cars) depreciate with miles. Only the low-mileage M's command the higher values. There are plenty of moon mileage e46M's like "yours" would have been.

SO many memories in a GTI I had like this. Mine was also an 83 Black/Red. I was living in Santa Cruz and I got it from the original owner in 86. I loved that car. It was perfect for the Santa Cruz scene at the time.

You don't see them this clean any more.
