Yeah. I had two batteries go this way recently. In one case it was also weirdly intermittent.

Battery was replaced first - no change. Internet seems to suggest the blower resistor thing.
The guy was a mechanic in another life, but more old American iron rather than German computer cars. |

Start pulling fuses and see when the draw disappears. I don't know of anything typical.

I had something similar in the M3. I think it had something to do with the accelerator. Does that make sense?
