I'm not upset about that.

Do we know why?

Like prioritizing Taycans? Or parts?

No idea. Would be great to get some confirmation from other sources, too.

Maybe with shortages they figure those cars aren’t good to build in the winter? Or maybe they’re lower margin than some of the other options?

I’m not super upset, either, but I am starting to sense that time will run out and I won’t get a new one ever. Would be kind of a bummer; buying a new Porsche is kind of a bucket list thing and I’m kinda annoyed it might not be possible.

I emailed Vassallo to see if he had any insight.

Certainly wouldn't shock me if it's parts. BMW is really hurting in that department. It's gotten so bad that most of their cars no longer come with touch screens or parking assist because they can't get the components.

Agreed…

For whatever reason it has become a giant shit show for BMW with no end in sight either.

Sam said there were GTS vehicles produced, but none were allocated to our region this quarter. He didn't have insight as to what is limiting production. He said the same problem was afflicting 992s.

Doesn't sound like I'm getting off the wait list anytime soon.

Interesting. A contact in Houston said no vehicles allocated there, either, until Q1.

Who knows. My suspicion is that as a new customer I will be the absolute last person to get an allocation, so I don't think I'm going to get a car.
