All I did was apply your ideal of limiting our physical stuff to your words.

No offense, disrespect, negativity or anything like that was intended.

Not sure I can say anything else that won't further negative feelings, so I won't, because that is not the result I would like.

That would be a cool idea. My aunt has a paved section in front of her garage, too, that is slightly wider than the door and maybe 20-25 ft long. It's a great place to wash the car, do any work on it, play hoops. And it keeps one's shoes a bit cleaner coming and going vs walking across gravel.

If you do it in concrete ask me for . . . . tips.

Naw, you don't REALLY need snow tires in Seattle.

I don't agree but then again I have not been driving the 911 since the snow has come so maybe I would need to live with it on a regular basis to see it from your point of view ... I put in the Nav-tv so I have 'Howard' and am happy ...

I am open to upgrading a 2009 or 2010 'S' but who knows

I made the mistake of driving on the Pilots Tuesday - I had to turn off the DSC just to make it up my driveway, which only has about a 2 percent grade LOL.

Snows go on Monday, it'll probably be perfectly clear and warm the rest of winter.

Gravel is a mixed bag - nice looking, drains water nicely, cool in summer.

However, the amount of dirt tracked into the garage is a pain, the snow plow scatters stones out onto the lawn and weeds appear regularly during summer.

It's a long drive (200 feet) so partial pavement, or even better, concrete might be a good way to go.

I love concrete driveways and roadways, our first house, built in the 20's, had one of those two-tire-tracks concrete drives so popular at one time. When I was a kid, the Merrit Parkway was all concrete - most everything up this way is covered with asphalt these days - kinda boring.

I don't have Nav on mine... the basic head unit in the 9x7.1s is pretty awful with incredibly limited expansion capabilities. It would have been considered cutting edge in the early to mid 90s...

I don't have nav either but if you google nav-tv it is basically a convertor that allows you to add things to the factory radio, it has a USB plug in too.

I bought it so I could have Sirius radio on the factory head unit.

I will say I am surprised by your comment and I have no reason to defend the 997.1 .... Heck you know me ... Cars are temporary in my world but i do find the 997.1 that i have to have some great features and is pretty up to date
