That is a beast, but I, personally, wouldn't like 4.10 for driving around. One day, if I really really commit to mine, I may do euro headers, something to the airbox, Frank Smith Tune, the wheels... It will also need suspension. So that's all around $5-6k and tons of time. Maybe...

If I were in the market, I'd seriously consider, the diff being the detractor. The 2007 turbo doesn't interest me as much.

I'm tempted because it's so cool and seems sort of cheap, but can't really see giving up the Porsche for it.

Between the two, I think I'd actually rather have the Porch. Seems crazy, I know...

Part of me wants to own a car like this just because it's unique and interesting. If buying/selling were frictionless, I'd sell the Porsche, buy something like this, drive it til I got sick of it, and then get back into a 987.2.

But that sounds like a lot of work.

Maybe in a few years when they're 25 years old I'll find a S50B32 M3/4 and bring it over.

It's certainly unique, but it's also an E36 coupe, which is a great car but also one that you've owned in the past. I think you might scratch the unique/interesting itch with the 1988 one-owner M5 that's up right now:

http://bringatrailer.com/2017/04/22/...w-1988-bmw-m5/

Or the '91 M5:

http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-bmw-m5-14/

Both of which have the big-six engine, which I personally think would be fun to own for a while. Also, both are black.

And while we're talking M cars, that not-mint '90 M3 sold for just shy of $29k. Damn, I guess that's what a "bargain" is in the E30 world.

Hey, every now and then I do something unexpected! Maybe in a few years I will again.

Car for Clyde:

http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1974-bmw-2002-21/

And that Dakar E36 is hovering at 15,5 with only a few hours to go. I bet the reserve is at least 20, but even at 20...

JV. Come on, man. Bid on that.
