Keep telling yourself that.
Are these different than the Cayman/Boxster bearing setup? |

You never know. I will keep an eye on it. Yeah - $32k is where I figure as well (if not maybe even a bit more than that). For me though - I would have to add shipping and such to Seattle, so.. another $1.5k or so for that as well as tax/lic and all the fun stuff that way. But still, it has been a good year and... you never know. It might work out.

Another one just popped up on BAT. Not as pristine as the LMB one, but gives you lots of headroom on price to spruce it up if needed. Plus, I'm partial to Sterling. Personally I think it is the most fitting color for E39 M5s. It is a much more interesting color in person than the shit pictures in that listing present.

Okay, it has ridiculously low miles, seriously how do you buy a car like this and forget to drive it? But $60k? Come on! |

I've yet to find a documented case of IMS failure in the M97 engine (I vaguely recall that there may have been one over Planet 9, but I also recall it being unclear). They may be out there, but they are a lot rarer than the earlier IMS bearings. LN Engineering will tell you that it's still a risk, but then again, they have a vested interest in ppl buying the earlier cars where the bearing can be serviced without splitting the case (and installing one of their bearings). All else equal, a non IMS DFI 997.2 is a better car for a number of reasons, including the IMS, but in terms of performance:value, it's really hard to beat a 997.1 S. |

Looks like my 997.1 complaint is not happening on this one yet, soft touch plastic peel You should bid. Guessing the price will be higher then it is worth since on bat but every once in a awhile there seems to be a good deal. Jump in at the last minutes. |
