So it arrived this morning -- delivery guy called me ~9:30 saying he was on his way, even though they weren't supposed to drop it off until after 1pm. I got home about about 15 min before the car.

I've attached a few pics -
- The first peak through the trailer door
- Its first park in the garage
- The dash when new (sorry about not being in focus)
- In the parking lot when we went to lunch

Initial thoughts:
- Its fantastic. Acceleration is amazing. I put the steering on sport and its nice and firm.
- It does not feel like a 4400lb car. Suspension is nicely firm.
- Its amazingly quiet. It will take a bit of time to get use to some of the different noises (like the heat pump compressor...).
- I had to call service though -- the steering wheel is off center, so the car needs an alignment. My left hand is noticeably higher than the right when driving straight... When I called and spoke with the service rep at the factory, you could tell I was talking to someone from California -- after I explained the issue, he said "that's a bummer, we'll get a case opened for the local service guy to take a look at it..."

Its now plugged in for the night. Charging scheduled to start at 2am. I set it to charge to 70% (the latest firmware has a slider -- and its supposedly better to keep the battery closer to 50%, especially in hot weather). Should give me ~145 mile range for tomorrow -- and my commute is ~60 miles. Will see how close I get to getting home with ~85 miles range left...

Very nice. You don't have a HPWC, do you? Just a straight 240 plug?

Very exciting. I'm really looking forward to impressions and the results of what I consider a beta test for my own electric car future.

The Technicians are mobile right? Wonder if they'll show up with Smart Strings and align it in the driveway.
