I just got a spam email from Hertz that they are now renting Model S' for $149/day:
Electrifying Performance for $149 per Day We are thrilled to announce the addition of the Tesla Model S to Hertz Dream Cars®. For a limited time, you can get behind the wheel of Tesla’s most anticipated all-electric vehicle—for just $149 per day. That is a daily savings of over $100. This offer is subject to availability at participating airport locations in Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, San Diego and San Francisco through March 31, 2017. The Tesla Model S is one of the hottest, high-performance electric vehicles on the road today. Do not miss out on this exhilarating experience.

Try quoting any other car in the Hertz Dream Cars category. They are not cheap...

Why would you get that when the GT3 is cheaper?

Lights work, it has a jack for your phone...it's something else. I don't think there's any way to justify spending $500+ on something like that, but it sure as hell is a conversation piece. It went for $730 at the charity event. *I got to spec it out, so of course I picked red with grey wheels and the upgraded battery. |
