Saw a black Volt in Manhattan today. First one I've seen on the road. (I think)

It's interesting technology, I just wonder how it all holds up over, say, ten years and what happens when the circuit boards and various chips aren't available anymore

Strangely, I've seen quite a few of them down here - mostly in silver.

Then again, I work somewhere where the Prius is, hands down, the most common car on the road.

EDIT- I googled "Arlington Prii" and found this pic taken less than a block from my office- http://www.davidconnell.net/2011/06/04/a-fleet-of-prii/

Despite the end of production, this is still Panthertown for the time being.

There's a black one in my garage; always plugged in.

I find it irrationally annoying that people have settled on "Prii" as the plural of Prius.

I also think that Prius drivers vie with Camry drivers as among the worst on the planet.

I believe it is the "official" plural form, per Toyota- http://www.toyotapriusprojects.com/#/006

Just something else to hate about Toyota...

I've found them to be poor drivers but, fortunately or unfortunately, they are not nearly as slow as Camry drivers.

Parked next me to at this morning's swim meet. The KFST magnet means they are in some way related to our team. I'll have to figure out who owns this.
