Why would anyone go to all that trouble for a diesel swap?

The 335d was supposed to be kind of a monster, though I haven’t driven one.

Nor have I. Although I’ve always heard (figuratively speaking) they were pretty industrial.

Holy shit.
I don't even like it that much, but damn. I suspect it will go for A LOT.

I remember playing it in Need for Speed 2. It was pretty floaty in the game.

A good friend just sold his Transporter on BaT a couple of days ago....
He had a mid 50's' reserve on it. Went for $85k.....

He has a 911 Targa coming up (with the same fella presenting it).

He also just sold two 914's (privately - not through BaT or other folks)...
He also just sold his 1958 Corvette... and will be selling a couple more cars soon.

Thinning the herd as he says...
He is the only person I know of who makes money on buying and selling classic cars - he does not try to do that, he just seems to have a good eye for knowing what will become hot just before it does.
I think he has about 25 cars still stored in two commercial properties he has set up to store them in and such...
The properties themselves are another investment that has gone up some as well...

I have often joked that I should give him $50k to go in on a car to have some fun with... but (for me) at that point it becomes not a fun thing and more of a 'business' thing... But still...
