Some of the Roadster owners are annoyed. But the Roadster just doesn't have the capability to take a direct DC charge, and is supposedly impossible to retrofit -- even with the coming pack swap...

There's been a lot of speculation on the Tesla board about what's coming and what isn't. ZBB has summarized the majority view, though there are others who think a Supercharger refit might still be possible.

We should know today. Most interesting question for me will be cost.

Here it is. A combination of battery changes, aero changes, and tire changes give the headline range numbers.

No word on cost.

I have seen many Tesla roadsters

I don't think I have ever seen one without (electrical) modifications

I don't think people who own the Roadster are cost sensitive --but I'd still love to know how much this costs, naturally.

You mean like this?

Honestly, what mods have you seen? The one above is the only one with significant mods I've seen. There's anonter with a company logo on it here in town (a guy that sells EV chargers). But all the other Roadsters I've seen have been stock...

modifications to the drive regulator (I assume) There is a large car show every year here on Greenwood avenue. linky We went a few years ago, and there were a few roadsters there. Each one had different inverter mods inside. I just peaked, didn't ask questions, and rolled my eyes at the different levels of poor wiring practices I witnessed

P85D…

For the first time ever, the only other car I want is basically an upgraded version of the car I have. I can't imagine going back to a gasser after this...
