To me, it’s “meh”. There’s nothing especially appealing about the 997.2 to me. It looks too plain to me. Not wide enough hips. Not enough power for how heavy it is. Looks dumb when the tiny little spoiler is deployed.

I think the 991 and 992s have more character from a styling point of view.

At this point I’d seek one of those out.

And finally.....the Boxster still always drives better.

(Have to be honest)
It's been a while since I've driven a 911S. I remember thinking they were more fun in a straight line than the Boxster, but yeah the Boxster is more entertaining all around.

I should just buy a Spyder, right? I mean, that's sort of the ultimate expression of that chassis.

This one seems pretty good - wish it had more miles and corresponding lower price, but whoever ordered it checked the right boxes other than PSE.

It does look nice. A much more realistic price for that mileage than I would expect, honestly.

Pretty low option, but yes it's suspiciously low. I kind of don't like the regular shiny black (rather than the metallic Basalt Black).

Wow that price is high. Guessing it was used by an older guy as a weekend car (or maybe even summer only car at a vacation house). Kind of hard to put that few miles on a car in 10 years.

You can always keep it dirty.

I always worry a bit about Houston cars and flood damage.

Price is high? I don't really think so, especially for the miles. wdc raises a good point about the potential flood damage, though.

I guess I think of 50K+ as being used 991 territory. I understand this car is different due to the miles but personally, I'd rather have the newest gen 911 I could afford (unless we're talking air cooled). If only a 997 will do and you want the nicest one possible than this one does look like a good buy.

Just did a quick search for an example and found this (also in Houston). Admittedly, the color combo isn't great.

This is one worth watching. Basalt black over black leather isn't really creative but is a decent combo. Miles are good. Options are really nice--sport chrono, sport seats, etc.

If the bidding doesn't go too high this would be a good get.
