  1. Blue Miata heater core spontaneously transmogrified into nextgen BlueTec Mercedes Urea injection system.
  2. I pissed in the car.
  3. Someone else pissed in the car.
  4. An animal pissed in the car.
  5. I have a olafactory condition that makes everything smell like piss. (Smart money answer?)

It lives outside, right? Pull off the cover for the cowl vent (or wherever these things draw outside air for the HVAC) and look for dead mice and/or evidence of a mouse's home.

This happened to a couple friends' cars back in HS. Not fun to clean up, but not a huge deal either.

I can't believe it !

I got into my car the other day and when I pulled out of the parking lot it started making this clunky noise. When I looked under the hood there was a CAT stuck under my serpentine belt. Actually the belt had broken and the cat was stuck in the engine.

Poor thing was wedged in there good and took half an hour to die. It was really hot and I could smell it cooking alive. I tried to get it out but couldn't and didn't want to get bitten. I called the police and they said they don't respond to those kind of calls. Grrrrrrr.

Anyway, Eventually the cat died and I had the car towed to a mechanic who charged me $110. to fix the belt (He said cat removal was free). He told me he's always plucking animals out of engines.

Anyone else end up with a critter in their engines?

It's temporarily outside now while we wait for the garage door to be replaced, but its been inside for the past couple years. The smell started earlier in the fall and has been stronger and weaker at different points. No one else in the car has smelled anything.

Will try to look when I get a chance.
