GMA T.50

The follow-on to the McLaren F1, the GMA T.50, was recently unveiled. Its styling is sort of ho-hum, but the tech specs are something else:

Incredible stuff, I've been reading in drips and drabs as I've had time since yesterday. The one thing I'm having trouble understanding is the gearbox. It has three pedals, but it is sequential or it's a regular manual? And if it's a regular manual, it didn't need to have a metal 'H', but it could have just had a leather shifter surround, I'm having trouble liking the metal flat base, sort of like a late model Volvo manual.

Looks like H pattern manual.

If I were a billionaire, I would be (having my staff) break his door down to order one

Yes the article is a little poorly written on that point, but it is an H pattern manual.

And agreed on buying one. It’s incredible.

Also, it looks like the shift is sitting in a chassis mount bearing. No reason for a boot since there's really nothing to leak around. Boots are heavy.

I thought the same. 2 million GBP with stronger prospects than pretty much any other asset? Thank god I don't have that kind of money, otherwise I'd be upset at not getting on the list.

Stunning, although looks a bit like the Batmobile.

I'm sure it's striking in person. And there is something to be said for having a very sleek design without massive, aggressive intakes, wings and foils, but I still think the F1 is a better looking car.

I wonder if he will ever come out with the t. 43 that was teased a couple of years ago. I also wonder how long before someone loses a finger in the unshrouded fan. To be clear, I'd volunteer my finger for testing if it got me a free one.
