A buy back already ... is the dealer not able to fix the car ?

Sometimes new cars have issues, the day I picked up my 17 Audi A6 the brakes vibrated very badly, I went back to the dealership the same day and they replaced all four rotors and pads. I donít even think the car had 20 miles on it.

Since then the car has been completely flawless for the past almost 2 years.

Not sure what the exact CA lemon law requirements are, but doesn't it take a few unsuccessful repair attempts and/or minimum number of days off the road?
Yeah it would be good faith buyback from VW. Has not been approved but initial person I talked to was sympathetic. Needs to be in service for 30 days for lemon law.

Dealer has been tearing it apart since Monday and cannot find the leak, been working with VW corporate. It might be a hairline crack in the block so it would be a new engine. Mechanic said that the engine might of been dropped, some scuffing on the block.

So different engine is now being installed. Not saying new since remanufactured and not off the factory floor. VW is considering my request for refund or new replacement. Hoping they do the right thing but last guy I talked to was referring to warrenty and lemon law requirements...

They can replace your engine under warranty with a used, remanufactured engine?
