Knowing nothing about leather upholstering, but surmising that there are very skilled people out there, could one actually have someone match the factory work such that nobody could tell? And I mean redo the whole seat with potentially visible stitching and all.

I had dove grey in my E46. It was...fine. Black was nicer. Modena is worlds better.

Would Modena work with yellow? Hm. It might not, but otoh it would give a real Ferrari vibe.

I don't think it was reupholstered - I think someone just took the seats and other trim from a modena car and transplanted it.

This. A simple transplant. While I don't hate, hate it, I don't think modena & technoviolet match.

It's not a combination that I would have thought to spec when ordering new but I really like it.

That car looks really clean, but something is funky with the catalytic converter section of the exhaust. It looks like some sort of aftermarket crush-bent replacement piping in there. The Carfax shows it failed emissions at some point at then passed, but that could have been some OBD-II issue.

Anyway, this car is going to do really well I suspect. 24k?

I got goose bumps reading a listing today. I think my first car is up for auction. When I first started glancing at the pictures, I thought "wow, looks similar to my first car except for the color and roof". Then I read in one of the comment that someone decoded the Fisher plate, and the original color was Cypress Green and Black roof. This is when the goosebumps appeared.

I added a oil temp gauge and voltmeter below the ashtray. Oil temp is still there, can't tell what the guage on the right is now, but you can see it has a black bezel, the oil temp is chrome ringed. I DID NOT add that tachometer, and I had the original steering wheel and rims.

I can't be 100% sure, but I really think this was once my car. My father bought it in 1972, gave it to me in 74 and I sold it in 76 to buy a Fiat 850 spyder.

I think I’ve mentioned it, but my dad had two Corvairs and loved them. The first one was a red convertible. The second white coupe with red interior—I think he bought that one used. This was in the mid-to-late 60s and 70s.

Maybe you should buy yours back...
