What? They are conducting a recall? Don't they know the appropriate action is to deny there is a problem and then blame it on the driver when it shows up for repair? I mean, look at the sub-frame tearing issue.

No, d'oh that they had a problem in the first instance. They are certainly doing a better job handling it than BMW has done in the past.

So of the 448 produced so far, 111 are in private hands. Does this mean that the remaining 337 cars are on dealer lots across this country?

When you abuse and rape your suppliers to get costs down to a bare minimum, things like this will happen. It's just another day at the Big 3.
