R&T compares the 964 RS with the 992 at the 'ring. The 992 is nearly a minute faster.

(I would have thought the difference would have been greater)

Right in the middle of the Great Recession; I bet the dealer looked at this car every day and wondered when someone would buy it.

And then no one drove it very much for more than a dozen years. Weird.

Still, v low miles on a 987.2S 6 speed is always going to bring the money.

EDIT: A bit of research suggests that these particular Cargraphic wheels are flowformed units. They look nice enough, in sort of a fake BBS style, like the Enkeis that I have for my BMW. But they aren't anything to write home about.

Yeah. >$85,000 for sure

Because CPO 991.2s are going for $100-120k’s.

And the 997 has arguable more soul.

Okay found the link.

7min30sec plus or minus 10 seconds is remarkably fast for the standard 992 911 Carrera S model.

I still think that Porsche is really making 500hp from these 3.0TT engines in S/GTS guise though.

My new to me C2 was built the same month. It was invoiced and PDI’ed to Jim Ellis Porsche in Atlanta. At some point it was dealer traded to Oklahoma City where it was not sold until May 2009.

I concur re the mileage. In my experience it does more damage for euro cars to not be driven regularly. My E39 M62 has taught me that as the second owner.
