We drove… Ended up driving both cars since we had a few boxes of things like wine that we didn't want the movers taking...

The 19" wheels and winter tires went back on the Tesla today. Holy shit every time I do this I'm reminded how much better the 19s are for ride compliance, noise, and general livability. Traction kind of sucks, so you have to watch that, but wow do those 21s demand a lot in return for their killer looks.

Some is clearly the tires (Dunlop winter sport 3Ds, I think).
But I’ve noticed it in the past when I had the first car that had Michelin Primacy all seasons on it, too. |

I had my first unscheduled service visit in a couple years today. The tire pressure system started giving errors about 10 days ago - intermittent at first, then mostly constant (but would go off then come back on the next drive). Nothing really troublesome, but I wanted to get it fixed.
Tesla ended up retrofitting the current TPMS system into my car under warranty (I have the extended warranty, but they didn’t charge the deductible...). They changed vendors on the TPMS a couple years into production, and the new system is from Continental. I now have individual tire pressure displayed on the dash, something the old system did not have. Nice upgrade after 80k miles... I had a Model X loaner for the day and put about 100 miles on it. Overall, it feels very similar to the S, with little differences, like the huge windshield (which I really liked). I really liked it - maybe I need to look for a low mile cpo X to replace the S next year...
