For Zach
Zach, you mentioned awhile ago you were interested in leasing a newer X5. This one is a 2019 used one, but it's listed at the dealer that's very active with LeaseHackr. Perhaps an opportunity...
https://www.unitedbmw.com/inventory/...ju2c57kln67429 Wow. I just speced a new X5--a gazillion new, very unfamiliar options. It's pretty overwhelming. Last edited by wdc330i; 07-25-2020 at 03:48 PM. |

Unless it’s a current model year x-loaner or factory demo <5k miles, the leases on used BMWs aren’t good. Probably more $$ per month than a new one. Looks like this one is a factory car but programs will suck with that mileage.

Interesting. You would know! Not a bad buy though, with a it more off. And a decent color spec. Apparently no more cognac for the X5.

Wdc, are you sure you need the 50i in the X5? I drove the 40i as a loaner and it was fine (but then again I no longer get any kicks on four wheels, two wheelers are my fun).

I’m actually shopping for an X3 (also a 3 wagon.) And, sure, if I were buying a new X5, I would totally go for the B58. I do also peruse the used car listings for X5s. They actually tend to be a better value than the used X3s. I think it’s a quantity thing—there are SO many used X5s out there and they tend not to move as fast.

Hey thanks for passing that along! We are indeed looking to get a new car very soon, will almost certainly be an X7 though. And Fil's right - we plan to lease and it makes way more sense just to order a new one.

I really like the 50i in our X5. Is it necessary? Of course not, but it sounds good and makes a boring car much more fun.

When the X7 first came out it looked HUGE to me. Now the X5 looks a little small to me.

You are right though, the X5 is super expensive for what it is...until you go and shop for Cayenne Turbos or even a GTS. |

Right! Ditto the X3, which is my current leaning. I just wish I could buy a new 3 wagon.
