Thanks Alan!
Apparently… lol Thanks! Ha! In my opinion, it is definitely superior to the current line of Ultimate Driving Machines. I suspect from my 15 mile drive that the 3.6 will be just fine for my needs as an occasional around town car. Not planning to roadtrip in it. Approx 500-600 miles annually? I insured with Hagerty at 1,000 miles annually. Naturally it is fairly cool and rainy here today. Oh well, gives me some time to dial in the interior to my standards. This car has me seriously second guessing a G87 M2. Edit: Excuse the crap pic. Taken from a window earlier this AM. Last edited by SCA; 10-16-2021 at 11:25 AM. |

Yes, will look great with the Carrera IIs.
Certain BMWs still have their place in my world. The F80 is basically a muscle car with a reasonable suspension. It doesn’t have much steering feel but can carry four people and have some fun doing it. But yeah, in terms of chassis feel? It’s got nothing on the 9X7 Porsches. And if you don’t need a real back seat, in my mind the Porsche is always the one to get. Personally I don’t think 1000 miles a year would be enough for me! That car is too much fun. How many miles? How are the shocks and struts? If they’re tired, I can’t recommend the Ohlins kit highly enough. |

Very true, but I am a one man show with now five cars, six if I include my Grandfather’s 1991 B2600 Mazda pickup that I inherited last March. One owner with 196,000 miles. Anyways… 1k or less annually will be fine. I do not want to hit 60k miles for several years. The E39 gets most of the daily use and that is not much given that I am working from home as often as possible. It has 56k miles. Shocks/Sturts are currently fine per the PPI as well as my short drive. I was truly surprised as to how tight the car is, but I have been driving the E39 often this past week. Edit: The sun it out! Just snapped another quick pic. Last edited by SCA; 10-16-2021 at 01:11 PM. |

Another convert!!! LOL. I am not surprised. This board will be Porsche world soon. Looks to be in stellar condition. Can’t wait to see it with the C II’s installed.

Enjoy. It will be interesting to see if 1000 miles is enough, or if you find yourself making up reasons to drive it more. We put 12k on ours since March 2020
