BMW CLAR Platform

While a lot of my 4 GC feels very familiar, one weirdness has just revealed itself. Apparently the windshield wiper fluid now comes out of the wipers themselves? It just kind of oozes at the base of the wipers and schmears across the windshield.

I read this is normal behavior.

It does the job, but is so deeply strange. In my 2, it would shoot over the windshield and hit me in the eye (fortunately I wear glasses). So quite the difference!

Actually sounds like it would be an improvement... kinda cool

It does?! I have never paid much attention in a G01 X3, G05 X5 or G07 X7 and I suspect I would have noticed this. Maybe a new design for the 4 GC?

I am 84% sure I've driven some other cars where the fluid came out of the wiper assemblies rather than from jets on the hood or under the cowl.

My truck has jets on the wipers. In classic GM fashion, the fluid sprays out the back, so you're guaranteed one completely dry glass scratching wiper swing.

With that detail, I think the C4 Corvette did it this way, too...

I had 2 of them back in the early 90’s and don’t remember this but I could be wrong
