Yeah... I think specializing in hatchbacks/wagons would be smart move for Audi's RS line in the US. They've already started to do it w/ the S6, RS7, RS5, etc...so why not continue that strategy with the RS3. Plus sedans in general are a hard sell these days (especially a compact on like that). I dont' get it.

But yeah I would get the R way over the Q4. I am hoping the 8.5 fixes the interior but sounds like you do not have time to wait.

Yeah I like the mini E as well but I don’t think it will cut it as a practical family car especially if the 2nd car ends up being a 911 or boxster I don’t think they are even offering the ix3 in the US (strangely) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Don't really have that much to add, except that: (a) I've driven the Q3 and Q5 and find them boring as hell and (b) no 4 cylinders is really limiting here.
Volvo wagon would be worth considering, especially lightly used. But 4 cyl like so may other options.

If you are ok w/ pre-owned, a 2019 X3 M4.0 would be your best bet. Prices are overinflated on those too at the moment, but you can fit a decent one without crazy miles easily under your budget.

Possibly. Whenever I've run the numbers on buying a slightly used BMW, it always seems like leasing a new one ends up being cheaper in terms of TCO...unless you buy and keep the used one for 7+ years. I wouldn't want to own one without a warranty though.

Yeah I do like the looks of the Volvo V60 wagon. But I've driven the XC60 and that engine is just so.....meh. Makes the Q5 feel fun in comparison. One advantage to EV Audis (vs regular Audis) is that they dont have all the weight hanging off the nose....my bet is that the Q4 etron will actually drive better than any of those 4 cylinder cars. If do relax the 4 cylinder rule it'll most likely be to get a Golf R
