I wasn't talking about you garbling it. Bloomberg is very hit and miss on this stuff.

Apple isn't the leading developer in that tech base, at least according to the people I know who are working in that arena.

I assume that those people are referring to software. I don't see a path to anyone matching what Apple could throw at the hardware side if they chose to. Certainly not based on the hardware that anyone else is showing so far.

Apple is currently shipping integrated graphics that are roughly equivalent to NVIDIA’s top of the line mobile GPU, while consuming a tiny fraction of the hardware. NVIDIA doesn’t have access to the silicon processes that Apple has access to (they’re currently 3-4 years behind just on process).

Of course, we don’t know what Apple is actually testing with, but they certainly have the ability to make hardware that NVIDIA can’t.

That said, this is roughly my thoughts on the 2025 date:

I didn't read anything about it in this Bloomberg article.

But with the recent actions between Foxconn and Lordstown motors https://investor.lordstownmotors.com...tive-strategic

I figured Apple was also somehow together with Foxconn (Apple is Foxconn's largest customer no?) in the car market
