Three different part numbers, two different manufacturers.

I think you're right... a 987.2 Cayman would probably be pretty awesome... someday.

As noted previously, the 712 (ZHP) rack was installed on a lot of other cars. But it's not the only rack that came on non-ZHP 330s.

Do you still hate Hondas and FRS/BRZs?
If so, then I'd say sell Boxster, keep Mazdaspeed3 and done. My suggestion was going to be a Civic Si from the same era as your Mazdaspeed3 or an FRS/BRZ? |

I don't hate Hondas, but I don't enjoy how the more modern "sporty" ones drive. The thing that bugs me about them is all the controls are video-game light with zero feedback or feel. They just have no personality. I really do not enjoy the FRS/BRZ at all.

Remember that part of this exercise is to save money. I appreciate the offer, and I do want to sample it, but it doesn't change my goals here.

We should all just play musical cars.
Although, I’m not letting my 2 go. It’s great at nothing, but good at everything. No need for anything else in a daily driver. Even with the top up, it’s satisfying to drive, with no claustrophobia or huge blind spots. It’s easy and comfortable when that’s what I or a passenger wants. And it’s edgy when I’m driving alone and want a more hardcore experience. This is really the best platform BMW has right now and, it seems, very much under the radar. |
