The 987s are pretty bullet proof cars other than the IMS on earlier models; assuming this has the 2007 Carrera S engine, I don't think I'd worry much about it. The big question is how well the swap was done, but my guess is Ruf does good work.

Yeah, I haven't really kept up with suspension options on these, but the Spyder suspension was a pretty much direct swap on 987.2s and not THAT much effort on 987.1s; that's what I'd put on this car.

Which, the 911, or the Boxster?

I have no idea what the market value (or reserve) of that Boxster is. It's a goofy sort of thing but I can't see paying close to what a 718 GTS will cost, or even what a 987.2 Spyder would run.

A stock version of this car would be...25? 26? Throw in 20 for the engine and that's probably a fair number.

Though, who knows, maybe someone will be captivated by the Ruf pedigree and get carried away.

I don't see how it would hit the mid to high-40's... You can get a well-specc'ed 2013-2014 S like mine for that.

If it were a .2 with a 9A1 engine, I could see it - or even higher. As it is, even the RUF 3.8L isn't on the same level of reliability/desirability as the 2009+.

Agreed. That's the absolute ceiling. And it should be substantially below that for a multitude of reasons, IMO.

With the inevitable downturn I wonder how car prices will be affected. Porsche bubble burst?
