I just need to readjust. My sub $40k ZHP is now that $70k M340i. Makes sense. It has been 20 years.
If there is an upside, it’s that CPO cars can still be great buys. Yes —dealers can still try to add on things. But it’s easy to pass on them.

I'm still in this mindset too. It's hard to swallow the notion of going over $100k for my next car. It's a mental barrier that probably goes back to the 80s when I was reading road and track and seeing the list prices of the super exotics I was lusting over back then when a Ferrari 328 was ~$75k.

Agree that it is shocking. The thing is, tomorrow is never guaranteed. I see it more and more in friends. Relatives. Dying left and right. I’ve resolved to live a little. I think I wasted ‘more’ money on cars that didn’t move the needle for me. Now I get what I actually want. And I am so much happier. And it actually saves money.

That $70k M340i for the US market is now only built in Mexico too. Not that that really matters, I am just stating that they are no longer produced in Munich for the United States.

I’m not going to lie… I have struggled with having a vehicle that well exceeds the $100k mark and I fully connect with what you have stated above.

I'm envious of you guys who can afford such high-performance, high-priced cars.

I believe that even IF I can afford a $100k car, I'd have a very difficult time paying for that price of admission. If anything, I'd have a "cap" of about $50k or so. I'd also have a Ducati and a custom bike. A diesel motorhome that can tow a trailer with a 'vert and a bike would also be in the mix. And I almost forgot a 25-foot Malibu wakeboard boat with the best audio sound system available.

I'd most likely blow money by heading over this place every month and test drive all the exotics in their fleet.

Must be nice to be rich ....
