Kodak DX-6490
It's 4.0 megapixel, 10x optical zoom. Takes Quicktime movies with sound. Has a handful of preset modes, including Sport (what I use for track pics) and nighttime. Has a very nice macro.
The bad - it has a cosmetic ding on the metal surround that surrounds the lens surround. The dial that allows you to fiddle with the manual mode (f-stop and shutter speed) has started acting wonky. Other than that, this thing is amazingly rugged and still works as it did when I got it. Comes with a Li-ion battery (and it lasts a weekend of near-constant use or a month of sporadic use without recharge), charger, carrying strap. It has built-in emergency memory (enough for 10-15 pics) and takes Secure Digital memory. I'm including a 256k SD card. Box and manual. MSRP $399 currently without a card. Make an offer. What, not $2 and a bag of chips?
Move a couple of decimal places to the right, and that's more what I was thinking...
